Teaching resources

If you are unsure where to get started, our lesson pack contains advice for your first lesson, a placement test and 4 lesson plans for each level. For more advice, example lesson plans, video tutorials for teaching online and links to helpful external resources, download our resource pack. It also includes specific guidance for preparing students for exams and teaching beginners.

It can feel overwhelming at start, so using a curriculum as a guide can be a good place to start. However, don't feel like you need to stick to it - be prepared to adapt to what you find works best for you and your student. The Education and Training Foundation has produced curricula for each level of English (Entry 1, Entry 2, Entry 3, Level 1, Level 2) which you can access here.
